The Southeastern High School Athletic Program is comprised of 7 sports teams including our Class A State Champion Boys Basketball team. Southeastern High School is a member of the Detroit Public Schools Athletic League. The athlete must be a student and comply with the rules and regulations in order to maintain his or her eligibility. The Athletic Program at Southeastern High School offers a diversified choice of sports to each student for his or her participation.

Jungaleer Boys Basketball
Voises of Inspiration: Southeastern is the Jungaleer's vocal ensamble. Under the direction of Mr. Harold Taylor, this group of talented studetns meets after school for rehearsals. VOI:SE performs at a variety of events from concerts to ceremonies to celebrations.
The Music Department offers concert and marching band to interested students at any level for the study and performance of quality band music. Class activities emphasize the development of instrument technique, tone production, tuning, fundamentals of music theory, music reading, and listening skills.
The Southeastern Robotics Team - the "Junglebots - participaptes in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. This is an international high school robotics competition in which teams of high school students compete to build robots weighing up to 120 pounds that can complete a task, which changes every year. While teams are given a standard set of parts, they are also allowed a budget and encouraged to buy or make specialized parts as long as they conform to FIRST safety rules. The Junglebots are sponsored by Chrysler and Magna corporations.
National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
